300 runs and 245th volunteer role

I volunteered today for the 1st timers brief, a role I enjoy as I like interacting with all sorts of people and have a passion for parkrun and our course at Braunstone. I think that we have everything on this course. Up and downhills, wildlife off-road amongst a great community .Being on the core team I am a bit biased, but coming here seeing familiar faces going back to when I first started parkrun in 2012 is one of the highlights of my week. We had quite a few first timers today. I gave them all the info about the course and safety and then answered questions that 3 people had, helped another set up the parkrun app and chatted to fellow runners. It was a lovely day for a run and a great start to the day.
