Moormead Community & Sports Pavilion
Our vision is for a Pavilion focused on serving local residents i.e. members of the community within a 20‑minute walk of Moormead Park. We will encourage the shared use of the Pavilion by a broad range of people across the neighbourhood, including schools, churches and organisations focused on junior sport. We want to support existing park users as well as members of the community who have previously been unable to use the park due to a disability or lack of facilities (e.g. toilets).

Please note that this group run has been cancelled.

A group of volunteers have already been working hard to get proposals for an exciting new pavilion in Moormead Park off the ground. They have reached the point of crowdfunding and need as much help as possible to reach targets. This is a little more about the project:

For our part, we have been asked to help share information and publicise the crowdfund campaign. On this evening we will be posting leaflets - always a great way to get your step count in! There will be a run to the start point for leafletting for those who wish to join from the Tap Tavern. You also have the option to meet us at the start point (exact location to follow).

This task is accessible to everyone, including new starters, and you can be sure of a warm welcome!
