5 GoodGymmers headed over to the MIND Charity Warehouse, one of the regular charities in Leicester we support. Lovely to see Lindsay again and catch up.
Today we helped sort donation bags with items to supply the MIND charity shops or send to third world counties. We also tagged a big basket of clothes with their size that had already been sorted and checked for the shops. Only the top quality products get to be put on sale in the shops.
Whilst the ladies were busy the gentlemen were busy sorting the books, their favourite little corner. Stu found his next drinks bottle- a giant babies bottle!
Weldone all your help is very much appreciated by the team at Mind, look forward to seeing you next time.

3 GoodGymmers helped to raise awareness of Loughborough Area Foodbank with Trussel Trust. Holding the Fort of the food donations trolley, engaging with customers and giving out leaflets.
The New Life Community Church provide the foodbank service to help those in need.
The first 45 minutes the trolley for donations was empty, it was a sorry sight.
All of a sudden the customers who had taken a leaflet from us on their way in, were finishing their shopping with items to donate to the charity. We couldn't believe the generosity of Morrisons customers, I think it did help that Dawn knew half the people going in as she works at the store when she is not volunteering with GoodGym.
Shout out to Nick and Dawn both completing double tasks today after gardening in the sun this morning, standing in Morrisons foyer was very refreshing this afternoon. Weldone team.

5 fantastic GoodGymmers came help Braunstone Community Primary School create an allotment to grow fruits and vegetables. Back for the second week as there's so much hands on work to be done and the sun was shining.
Everyone got stuck in clearing out all the weeds and brambles, Nick and Stu had their hands full with the roots on one of the brambles, it looks more like a small tree!
Jimmy and Dawn cleared all around the pond, I had to warn Jimmy there was no swimming today.
Fantastic work team, your efforts are really appreciated and great to see you all, keeping fit whilst doing good.

6 super strong GoodGymmers came to get stuck in at Braunstone Community Primary School to help create an allotment of dreams.
The teachers plan to use the fantastic space they have to grow their own fruits and vegetables. The school have raised money to buy the polytunnel, which already had some hopeful seedlings planted by the children. They are even hoping to have a stall on the local market to raise funds for charity.
Fantastic turnout today, shout out to Gareth our newest member came back for his second helping of GoodGym.
This was a brand new task for us to work with after our friends at B-inspired Foodbank down the road from the school conveniently recommended us.
Everyone got stuck in moving tables out of the overgrowth and then clearing out all the weeds and brambles. Lots of tree identification going on with a cherry tree, Hazel and gooseberry bush to work around.
Fantastic work team, when GoodGymmers get on board more hands always make for a lighter load, same again next week.

3 GoodGymmers helped support the Menphy's charity with their leafletting the local area close to their Charity shop on Latimer Street.
Stu ran to the task and by the looks of him when he arrived, very fast! Dawn walked to her lift to the task.
We were super speedy with terraced houses but did have quite a walk from the charity shop, covering over 3 miles in total, fantastic efforts both pleased you could join in today.
